2025年地球化学会年会に行ってきました

こんにちは、横山研D2の阪本です! 9/17〜9/19に仙台の川内キャンパスにて開催された地球化学会に、横山研からは修士2年の今宮と、阪本、それから横山先生の3人で参加してきました!
地球化学について、学会HPでは以下のように書かれています。
太陽-惑星系の形成と進化、地球内部に存在する物質の構造とその進化、さらには大気圏・水圏を含む地球表層や生命の誕生と進化などを「化学」を用いて探求する学問分野です。地球化学は、元素、同位体、化学種の存在度、分布、移動、変化を空間的あるいは時間的に取り扱い、それらを支配する法則や原理を見つけだすことにより、地球や太陽系の様々な現象の解明を目指しています。隕石や月試料などの地球外物質を対象とする宇宙化学も含めて地球化学と呼びます(地球化学会HP)
ここにあるように、高校理科で言う地学と化学を合わせたような、非常に広い研究対象が扱われています!

今宮くんと阪本は、黒田研の太田さんと一緒に学生懇親会にも参加し、同学年の学生と交流しました!二人の発表は1日目に終わり、それぞれ今宮くんはポスター発表、阪本は口頭で発表しました!

地球惑星科学専攻の学生がなんと4人受賞!

横山先生の発表も最終日にあり、AMSでの研究業績の紹介やPIMSの導入状況などについてお話しされました!!

学会の中日には懇親会も実施され、牛タンやご当地の美味しいお酒をいただきました〜




牛タンなどの美味しい仙台の料理を堪能しました!


帰りの駅弁!


とても充実した3日間でした!!







追記:学会前の週から腰が痛くて整形外科でリハビリを受けたりしていたのですが、学会でたくさん歩いて運動したらだいぶ良くなりました。運動不足は怖いですね。
