アイスコア作業

先週３日間、南極ドームふじアイスコアの削剥作業を行いました。
日本の極地研究所の方々が掘削されたコアの一部分です。

以前は弘前大学にお邪魔して作業させて頂いていましたが、

大気海洋研に冷凍室ができてアイスコアを保管できるようになったので、

前回から柏キャンパスで行っています。

冷凍室は当然ですがものすごーく寒いです。

今回の作業は常温にて。

二酸化窒素排出量の増加が、成層圏オゾンの低下を招き、紫外線強度を変え、成層圏- 対流圏間のオゾンの収支を変え、対流圏のOHラジカルの濃度を変え、メタン濃度を低下させる。

原生代の大気中酸素濃度は堆積物中の硫黄の同位体（Δ³⁴S）から推定される。データが欠けていた、1.18Gyrの硫黄の同位体をイギリスの湖底堆積物から制約。

50‰もの大きな分別は硫黄サイクルが均質でなかったことを示唆しており、海の記録に出現していないような未知の硫黄酸化菌の関与を示唆している。
