横山先生がロナクレータープロジェクトの研究打ち合わせのためにインドのHyderabadを訪問されました。
NGRIのDr. Kumarと、所長や教授会のメンバーと交流されたそうです。

NGRIは地球化学分析の装置が非常に充実しているとのことです。

毎日Dr. Kumarの家に招待され、地元のお食事をご馳走になったそうですが、「ゲストがいるときはホストはゲストより先には食べられない」など、インドの文化に驚かされたそうです。

またインドのポスドクになりたての方に話を聞いたところ、既に著名な雑誌に論文が５本あるなど、英語圏である利点を生かして精力的に発表しているとのことでした。

日本も負けてはいられない！！
