→古生代の化石サンゴの鉱物の形態的特徴を調べた。保存性のもっとも良い試料でも続成を受けてはいるものの、骨格の構造は初生のものを保存していることがわかった。さらに、成長線も観察することができた。さらに研究が必要ではあるが、古生代のサンゴのSr/Ca比から海水温の復元が行えるかもしれない。
