今日から明日にかけて、ＡＭＳ（加速器質量分析計）の14C（放射性炭素）測定のマシンタイムです。準備した試料をＡＭＳにセットするところから始めて（上の写真）、およそ24時間。今回は、安岡（Ｍ１）の試料を測定しています。
試料をセットしたら、管制室でＡＭＳを操作（下の写真）。操作を覚えるのが、新米にはなかなか大変です…。
From today to tomorrow, we have machine-time of the AMS for mesuring radiocarbon. It takes about 24h from setting samples into the AMS (above photo). This time, we are measuring samples of Yasuoka (M1).
